OLUWASOLA ABIOLA ELISHA: HUMAN DEPENDENCE ON TECHNOLOGY: A CURSE OR BLESSING?

Human!
The amazing creation of the creator
Blessed with intellect
And knowledge to select
Though not perfect
Yet capable of doing things near perfection
Because with human creation
Comes passion with great innovation

Technology!
The human imperfect creation
That changes from generation to generation
Coming daily with better innovation
Leading most times to obsession
For in our community
Resides great and amazing creativity

But Uncle Technology!
Do we call you a blessing?
Or do we call you a curse?
You came making life simple for us
But with the simplicity comes addiction
With the simplicity comes unhealthy competition
Especially among the youths of this generation
How will Solá be using Windows 10?
While I use Windows 7
Is the new anthem
In the mouths of our brothers
Shade cannot be using a touch-screen computer
While I use something less
Is the new anthem
You have successfully configured our sisters to sing
Manual jobs you have taken away from us
Rendering us jobless
For what 10 men would have done in 10 days
Your son (Computer) will do in 10 minutes
Again I ask you Uncle Technology
Do we call you a blessing?
Or
Do we call you a curse?
Our students you have made lazy
For lots of things are now easy
You have taken away our intellectual independent
Now we are dependent
On your provision
Especially one of your offspring, Computer
So for the last time Uncle Technology
Do we call you a blessing?
Or
Do we call you a curse?
